Innovation was on the menu at Beverage and Food Gurus Limited (BFGs) Innovation Degustation in March 2026, and it didn’t disappoint. A curated line‑up of new beverages, hands‑on tasting, and sharp discussion gave attendees a rare chance to explore what’s emerging across categories like nootropics, protein‑forward formulations, 0% alcohol, next‑wave hydration and exciting boundary pushing flavour innovations. With the most innovative products sourced from the US market, the session offered a close look at the ingredients, claims, formats, and consumer drivers shaping innovation offshore, and what might translate into opportunities here in Aotearoa.

For NZBC members, it was a valuable reminder of how fast the landscape is shifting, and how global insights can spark local ideas, collaboration, and new product thinking.
